Balut or Penoy?

I miss those balut and penoy. I like penoy than balut coz it doesn't have a chick inside,but sometimes i tried balut which is not really have big chick inside. I am craving of it now.hmmm..yummy. Happy posting.

If I have to choose, then it's Balut for me. I don't eat that often but if I do, I always skip the bird part. The savory liquid and the yolk are the only parts of the egg that I consume. Sometimes, if the white part is soft enough, I eat that, too. I'm a member in another forum site and there's a thread about exotic foods that have been tried. So, I posted that I have indulged in eating balut once in a while. There is another member that seemed to have been intrigued by my post. She asked me what was the point of eating the balut if I'm not going to eat the bird anyway? Why not consume an egg that has no bird in it. So, I explained to her that there is another alternative and that is the Penoy. But I love the savory liquid of Balut. And the Penoy doesn't have that. So, even if there's no chick to look back at me when eating a Penoy, I still choose Balut.

Hi. mimico. I have never tried either of them. I do love all my eggs fully cooked. With no hidden baby chicks inside of the egg shells either. I don't see how someone can eat this at all. Balut is just nasty and disgusting. I know that many people tend to eat egg yolks, but I don't. I find this to be very disgusting!

I like both, balut with the chick and penoy without the chick. But I like balut more than the other one. I love it especially during drinking sessions. I love it with bigger chick, those they say that 16 or 18 days old. Wow, I think I will have balut tonight and eat it together with my wife who also loves to eat balut, but no chick. That is balut without chick, not penoy. She will eat the balut, everything in there but will give me the chick, lol

I prefer eating the Balut rather than the penoy. I don't like the penoy that much because I have a different feeling in my mouth whenever I eat it. As for the balut I like the yellow part of course but also eat the sisiw! YUmmy!!!

Hi mimico! I think I only tried Penoy once but I still prefer balut. However, I prefer the one with less developed chick. I don't know how to distinguish it so everytime I buy, I just wish it's not too feathery . This post is making me crave for balut. Happy eating!

I like balot, but I can't have balot for now cause I am having hyper tension, but once that I'am okay I will buy balot and eat it on my own I wont share it hahaha! Have a nice day!

I like penoy more. Because I don't eat the chick inside the balot. Only the yellow one. I give it to someone and if there is no one I could give the chick. I will just throw it and it's "sayang" I am "lugi".. so I want penoy more than balot. I can eat all that is inside of it. And its delicious. Both of them are delicious.
