Hi, we all have been enjoying lower gas prices but do you think it will last? Do think the oil companies will find a reason to raise the price back up or do you think it down for good? I think it won't last but I am most interested to hear what all of you think.

yeah, they gouge you when they can and make their mountain of money higher, built on the backs of hard-working under-appreciated employees. It's another example of how someone could really make a change in the world and choose not to. I hope that if I ever get to be rich and famous, I do something to make life better for people as much as I can. I know it is all about business to gouge people at the pumps, but there needs to be someone somewhere who says, "geez, guys, do you think you could ease up a little?" That's what I think.

I agree that there should be someone that put a limmit on how much profit that they make and sadly, that is not the case .

It will definitely go back up, and, the reason is; the want to keep making those HUGE profits! My thought is, if they actually had a valid reason to raise the prices so high, then they wouldn't be making such an exorbitant profit. I mean, isn't it logical that they would need to actually spend that money to get the product, instead of being able to pocket it?

Gas here has finally reached $2.99. It makes me really happy to see that gas has finally fallen below the $3 mark. At least now I'll be able to go home and not spend an arm and a leg to go home. And, not to mention I will actually be able to pay for my own gas now and not have to rely on someone else to give me some gas money. I'm afraid that the gas prices will shoot back up. However since prices have fallen pretty steadily lately I'm not sure what will happen. I just hope they don't shoot back up.

I can't tell you what I think will happen, but I do think that we need to start using our own oil and quit depending on foreign countries..

Oh, they'll find a reason, lol, always have. I heard OPEC intends to meet soon to see if they should lower production... guess, we'll face higher prices soon. Enjoy it while you can. I was happy when I filled up our family van today and paid $13 less than a month ago. But I'm keeping up my frugal driving habits and thrift shopping practices I have picked up. Our budget is as tight as it can be.... diesel didn't go down as much so food prices are still high.

I agree gas has gone down but food and everything else has not. I guess we can enjoy the lower gas for a little bit.

The price of gas is uncertain. It's rise to the top on one day but drop drastically in another day. All this interrelated to the country's economy, especially to the advanced industrial country, such as US and Japan. When demand drop, therefore the price will drop. During this economy crisis, many of the factory has cut down their daily production, this has caused less in demand and consequently, we as the consumer will benefit from gas price drop. I think when the economy has returned back to healthy line, the price of gas will be risen up again. I wish that it won't rise too much in the future like what have happened in the mid of this year.

I am really enjoying it we recently went on a small vacation and as we was going down the road we looked at the signs to see how much it was a difference between stations and then we stopped at one and they said it was supposed to go down even more and I said thank goodness but the only thing about it is that gas went down and other things went up but I can live with it that way.
