Well i must say that i love my dogs for the simple fact they can be loving calm and and caring dogs but when it comes to the point where they feel as if something is wrong or someone is about to hurt the family they do become aggressive which can be a good thing but a bad thing too. But the protect you from being in harms way and even know when something isnt right.

i love my dog because hes my best-friend. he always with me. hes like my child...dogs are a lot like humans... in sense that they can be there for you and keep you company when your alone... you get used to having them around every day. having them greet you when you get home. they are always there to listen to and cheer you up. a dog loves you no matter what... its hard to explain why you love a dog as much as you do. i think it also depends on how you see them. if you see them as just a pet/dog or if you see them as part of your family. my dog is part of the family and that is how every one in my family see them too. my parents call him their grandson! lol
