I look at the no response discussions everytime I log in. Do you? I check there because I worry about poeple getting their feelings hurt. Is that weird in the online world? Thanks in advance. Hopefully this won't find its way to the no response world. What are your requirements for responding to a discussion?

The main requirement for me to respond to a discussion is the knowledge of the topic, and my quick ability to deal about. I couldn't face to get learning for an hour or so, just to be able to discuss. I discuss as far as I am concerned to do at the moment I read a discussion. But I will try to brad my views to respond to more people here.

I like to respond to discussions I am well versed in but I have learned tons of stuff too, because if a question is well written it makes me want to find the answer- I did that a few days when someone asked about cats.

I just check them because everyone and their brother hasn't said all there is to say before I show up. It gets really monotonous reading through fifty responses to a discussion that all say the same basic thing. If I say it first, that's the end of that issue. As for my "requirements", the discussion has to be something that interests me and to which I have something to respond. I scroll through a LOT of new discussions without bothering with them.

Having to read through the same response over and over is one of the reasons I started searching the no response tab first when I log on. Although a few times I hit post and find that someone else was answering at the same time and then we still end up with the same answer at times.

I usually look at the no response discussions here on myLot although few times I post on them because many times they are silly discussions. In other forums I don't usually look at the no response discussions, I don't know the why. Have a nice day.

Sometimes I look for the no responses discussion. There are lots of discussions on that section that need some attention. Some of the discussion there are silly ones but others are decent enough to be responded. I don’t know why there are no responses even to the decent ones. When there are no new in my interests, I tried the top discussion, next the new and recent ones then lastly the no response discussions. Other at the no response that I have responded is a year older.

I completely agree that there are some great discussions there. I actually start there- a little bit because I like to be the 1st one to post. So its a win-win!!!!

I always look at them and try to find one that I can respond to in a decent manner. Nobody likes to have no responses to their discussions, so therefore I try to do my part, small part at that to help make someones day a little better. I have no specific requirements to post to a discussion, it just has to catch my eye is all.

Very nice to know I'm not the only person that thinks of others feelings in the online world. And if we all do a small part to look through the no repsonses maybe there won't be any that hang out there for days on end. Thanks for the response.

I do go to the No Response discussions tab sometimes, because there are no new discussions in my interests. There is normally at least something there that I can write a response to, so I never really do run out of discussions to respond to!

I sometimes find discussion with no response, and if I can I like to be the first to respond. But I need to have the capacity to responde avoiding non sense or deprecated meanings. I think it is important to receive answer for anyone. I will visit the No Response section

I have actually found several discussions there that I thought were great and so I have wondered in my short time at mylot how some end up staying there for a while. It does make me feel a little better to know that I am not the only checking it out to see whats going on there. Thanks for the response.

Well, not all of the time do I check out the No Response section, but if I have some extra time and have posted back to other discussions I am interested in, and run out of ideas and topics to respond back too, I will often go check out the discussions with no responses, and see if there are some there I can post back in as well. Sometimes these have topics I am not interested in, but then they might also just have discussions that are being overlooked at the time being as well.

Hi there dncmanning! I always check on the discussions that do not have responses. Surprisingly, there are a lot of discussions there that are very interesting. Perhaps, such discussions are just overlooked. But I have really found good discussions there. I only have two requirements when it comes to a discussion that I would respond to. That it should be interesting and something that I have enough knowledge on.

I too have found a lot of great discussions there and have often wondered why they go unnoticed. Maybe it's just that there are so many to choose from and they just get overlooked by those who go srtaight to the topics selected as interests. Which I guess makes sense- I like to look at the options. I actually learn more that way and find things that I like. Happy mylotting and thanks for the response.

i always start making response from the email notifications i got from my friends and usually it has tons of it in my inbox and that alone consumes my time. along the way, i would bump into discussions that caught my interest and i'll drop some comments then go back to where i started. or if i don't have much in my inbox (which is very rare) i'll go to my interest and start making response from the top and go to other pages after. i really don't have any preference whether it has response or not but as long as it suits my preference then i would definitely leave a mark.

I like to be the first one too because I have found with some discussion that its the same answer over and over and that gets really boring. Thanks for the response and happy mylotting.

While I see the point in looking at your faves first and your top interests, It's just that I have found some pretty decent discussions there and wondered why there were so many there. Thanks for the response.

Thank you for your response- I will look at the no response section and see if I can't find a way to contribute. Are you saying you have one related to a toy trivia? Have a nice day.

I always appreciate a response but it never really hurts my feelings if people don't respond. Its not like I was talking to anyone specific, so no one has an obligation to respond... if that makes sense. I sometimes check the no responses just because its a fun way to select posts. I don't do it because I feel sorry for anyone. I just do it, cause I do.

Hi there, I do look at no response every time I login on mylot and try to respond to some of them! I also pick a discussion to respond because most of time some discussion that I respond from no response get deleted and I lose points as well. Thats nice of you that you getting worry with their feelings and I know that its not a good feeling to have discussion and no response! Thanks!
