Oh my goodnees, she came in from out back saying "look mommy, I found a worm!" Just as happy as could be. It was a little gardner snake, I about peed my pants! Thought i'd share this here, what have your kids brought in for you?

lol My son is afraid of snakes and we have a lot of them in our yard. My children usually bring me strange things but, the most recent and interesting was a box turtle. We live in a major city so to bring home a turtle was unusual.

Oh the turtle lived in our yard along with the red fox and owls. LOL Most of the time I feel like I am back in the country. I moved to the city to get away from all the critters and I think they followed me

I don't have kids, but I would probably be elated if they were braver than me with creepy crawlies and praise them lavishly after I changed my pants. I can tolerate bugs, I even used to keep slugs as pets, but when it comes to centipedes, anything with a lot of legs, or snakes, it would be nice to have someone else take care of them for me.

Unfortunately, the bravery goes away (on some thing) with age. Although in this case, I will certainly TEACH her that she should NOT handle snakes!

Wow. My daughter is scared of everything at one time it was ants. She's gone past the ants thing but afraid of so many insects that I thing she may be afraid of her own shadow. I live in the Caribbean and we don't get snakes like that. They're in the forest and the majority are pisonous. I would have passed out then pissed my pants.

With those kinds of snakes around I wouldn't blame you for doing both!

I was also brought a snake by my 3 year old. He is 10 now and still randomly brings snakes, lizards, toads, frogs, etc... I am just grateful that he now is old enough and knowledgeable enough to know what snakes he can and cannot touch (we live in Florida and we have rattlesnakes and other unfriendly snakes) But let me tell you, that very first time he brought the snake I just about passed out from the fear that he could have gotten very, very hurt had it not just been a black racer.

Thank you! I'm happy to be here with all of you. This makes me think of my youngest daughter who is 8 now. She loves anything creepy crawly. This past summer we had the 17 year Cicadas so when we went to the cemetary to visit my mom, she enjoyed it completely. I on the other hand got about 10 feet from the car and froze. My oldest daughter had to get my cell phone so she could call her daddy so he could talk me back to the car. So while I sat in the car the little one admired her cute new friends.

This is too funny!! My son, who is 7 years old, would do the same thing. He loves snakes and spiders. I can't not stand them.
