Wii 2 is coming

According to a blog I read, Nintendo is releasing the Wii 2 in the future next generation of consoles. Like PS3, and Xbox 360, it will reportedly have the next generation graphics. Will the upgrade make you buy? Are you excited? Why?
I am looking forward to the future of gaming. New things are just around the bend and it is really exciting. Tell me what you think.

I know that it does progress really fast. 
I am such a tecno-geek though; I love that stuff. I think the system will be better to be sure. I like things that do more then less. the one complaint I had with the Wii was the lack of movies on it. My PS2 palyed movies. My Xbox 360 played movies. the Wii not so much.

Nintendo probably won't release a next generation console until five years after the wii came out. It will not be called Wii 2. It will have a different name because it will sound like a lower quality compared to Playstation 3.

Maybe in 5-7 years when its popularity wanes but I guarantee you that Nintendo is going to ride this particular money train until it runs completely out of steam. I've been hearing that the Wii is going to once again be a near impossible find this Christmas. That makes three years in a row.

We just finally found a Wii in the store why in the heck would I want to upgrade to a Wii2 if it's so hard to find the origional. I think they need to stick with making more features like the FIT ect but til demand goes down for the origional I think they should just keep going with what works ;)

I just saved up to buy a wii. Wii2 would be awsome. I wonder what the next super smash brothers brawl game would be?

I just looked this up and they are in fact working on another one but they said everything that is thought up is not put out. They will more than likely wait til wii loses some popularity. As it sits right now the Wii is so popular it is near inpossible to find out this time of year so I give it at least 3 yrs.

I was thinking of buying one, although all those family friendly games kinda put me off a bit but a next gen Wii sounds fantastic, I can't wait to see what they do. I just hope that they make it as powerful as xbox or ps3 or even better.

I have heard rumors about a Wii 2 as well, but I'm sure we won't be seeing that for a while. Nintendo is still cashing in on the Wii. In my opinion, they've just scratched the surface. Nintendo beat out Microsoft and Sony in sales of the Wii and DS this year, so they're doing really well with Wii sales still. They won't even need to start thinking about launching a new system for at least 3 years.

It depends on when it's coming out. I JUST got a Wii and will play that for a while. I have so many game systems right now, it's ridiculous. I have a Wii, XBox360, PS2, XBox, and a Nintendo DS. I'm good for a while.

I'll probably stick with Wii until Wii 2 comes and just skip the xbox 360 and PS3! The Wii 2 will have even better graphics than the Xbox 360 I'm sure and It will definitly use some type of motion based controls. The PS3 will be around until 2016 and the Wii will be around until 2011 before their new consoles come out. So Nintendo will definitly upgrade to at least a PS3 quality console by 2011 until then I'll be enjoying my Wii.
