Do the members of your family criticize you of earning online?

I know the peoples that earns online would be of all ages like student, employee, house wife, retired etc. How do your family members believe you when you say them that you earn online?
Many of us will be in PTC programs or even mylot is an example. Do you tell them that you earn online? And what are the reactions of your family members when you tell them so? And is there someone laugh at you when you say you can earn online?

Good thing that family understands my hobby and they actually support me in my struggle to make money online. I told them that I an enjoying myself so much and that this could actually earn me money. So far no one laughed at me when I told them that I am trying to earn money online. If ever they do, I would just let them see some proof of my extra income for them to believe me. My family understands me well, although I'm not really sure about friends. I'm not sure how their reactions would be when they find out I'm trying to make a little bit of money online. Have a great day!

That's good your family understanding what you are doing and keep supporting. So far,I only told I earn money online to my brother and my close friend. Some of them support me and the other think that I'm doing a stupid thing as the don't believe it and not so open minded.

Its something that often goes right over their head or as if you told a joke. Nothing worthy of discussion and seen as just 'play' i figure.

My husband thinks it is all a scam and that I am wasting my time. I like to find out what other people think and what they are doing. I don't make much money but it keeps me occupied and I learn a lot. It is amazing what you can learn on sites like mylot. I really like the sites that people are nice and not rude like some that I have been on. Keep up the good work.

I get mixed reactions from people. Some are interested, some friends laugh about it, but I have actually gotten some of those people to sign up.

Yes they are all criticizing me always, but i dont mind them really for i am not looking for money in this site, i am for the information, learning and friendship i gain here in mylot. Other sites that i like to visit very often dont give any cent at all, so therefore it is more better to be here for there is still an award waiting for me. And you know that, i learn to value my money now for it is really hard in earning this site. This is the first lesson i've learned here. Happy mylotting.

For the first time I say to my friends that I'm earning online they don't believe it and some of it laughing to me but after I show the proof of payment I receive they start asking me how I get paid and try to learn it from me.I think it is hard to teach them one by one because I learn it for a long time and I keep exploring more.

My husband did make fun of me and told me I was crazy when I first started doing GPT stuff. Once he seen the checks coming in for me he changed his attitude pretty quick. I don't make an awful lot online...but what I do make is nice. Extra pocket change we wouldnt have otherwise.

no because i have a lot of health issues that make it quite difficult for me to work alot outside of the house. besides working online, i make crafts and sell them as well so that keeps me quite busy, also i sell stuff on ebay. i will use the money i make for christmas presents.

Most of my online earnings come from writing articles, so it is easier for people to understand that I am a paid writer. I am self employed and they are aware that any business or occupation needs to have an online presence, so again it is not difficult for them to know why I need to spend a lot of time on the internet and develop my blogs, in addition to my other paid activities.

they almost fall off their chairs laughing. I'm glad I provide a little humor into
their world. What they don't know is that their Christmas gifts depend this year on what I make. Do you think i should tell them, maybe they could help out?

Oh yeah, when I told my friend that since I cannot work outside the home at this time due to taking care of my 83 year old mother and my 3 year old grandaughter that I was going to make money online, he laughed at me. He criticizes me all of the time and makes fun of me. He says that I won't be able to make enough to do anything with. At Least I am going to try.
