Not but one. I can only do the English language although I do know like one or two words of another language I wouldn't have a clue how to speak it besides those two words.

I am only fluent in English. I took French in school for years, but it's been so long now, I'm not sure how much I'd remember. But because of those years studying, I am still able to understand a bit of French here and there. Unfortunately, not nearly as much as I'd like.

That is awesome that you know several languages and I bet it is pretty cool being able to speak languages other than your native language,I am not sure if I can speak any other languages other than English when I was in middle school I took a Spanish class because they made me so I can speak a little Spanish and I have heard a few phrases in French that I can speak and understand, and I can understand a few Spanish phrases, and I think that one day maybe I will try to learn another language so that way I could say that I speak several languages, even though I do not really plan on visiting any other countries so I guess English should suffice even though there are people who are speaking other languages in the United States, and there probably be even more people who are going to start speaking other languages in the United States but hopefully most of them know English.

I can speak three languages fluently - Irish, English and French. Irish is our native language and it was compulsory to learn it at school although there are few places left in Ireland where it is used everyday. I have a number of friends who speak Irish whenever possible so when they come to visit, we converse in Irish. I speak fluent French but I am hopeless at writing it.

I am from India and hence I speak a lot of regional languages like Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, besides English which are all fluent in reading and writing. I have also learnt a little schoolgirl French which I can speak smatteringly.

I'm sorry to say that I only know English. We're not big on bi-lingual skills here in the U.S. although it's a very useful thing. We used to be required to learn Spanish, French or German in high school but I don't think they even do that any more.

My native language (Romanian) aside, I can speak good English (I guess that's supported by my presence on myLot), and fairly good French.
I also speak some Italian and Spanish, both Latin-based languages, related to my native language. If I spend some time in a Spanish or Italian-speaking collective, I speak those languages better and better.
I've also studied some Russian in school, but I can't speak it on a satisfactory level. I can read and write Russian, but I don't know enough grammar, and my vocabulary is too poor to speak it properly.

I can speak German, but not as well as I used to because I don't use it often enough. I know a few words of Spanish, but wish I could speak and read that better. I wish we were more diligent here in the US at having more languages taught in school as they do in Europe and other countries. We are getting better at it I think. I have often thought about taking another language class, and now that you brought up this discussion, maybe I will consider it again!

On an International level, I can speak two languages. English and Hindi. Also I can converse a bit in French, although I have to whip out my dictionary most of the times. As India is a diverse nation with many languages in different parts of it, most people tend to learn more than two or three languages. I know three regional languages. Kannada being my mother tongue, Telugu and Marathi. It's good to know these languages because communicating with people becomes easy when you are out on the road.

Hi there ronaldinu
My mother tongue is English but I also speak French relatively well but wouldn't say it was completely fluent, I speak it confidently though. I also speak a bit of Arabic and can read and write it a bit too. Arabic is a very hard lanuage to learn to speak thoough it is not so hard to read and wrtie it once you know what all the letters are. Good luck!
