Do you prefer skirts or trousers?

Dear friend, In the country where I live in India here mostly of women ear sarees or churidar and also jeans and shirt. It could rarely could see women here wearing trousers or skirts except those school students. I hope the freedom of dressing is used accordingly from the interest and comfort of each individuals taste.

I wear only skirts when I am going to church, a wedding,christening, or out to dinner which is rare. I prefer pants more then anything because I feel more comfortable in them.I also hate my legs.Fat pudgy things..lol

Here in the west it is our fashion and our freedom to wear anything we want to wear. Most of us choose to be comfortable so we choose jeans.i know I am one.Growing up the only time I wore dresses or skirts was when I had to get dressed up. I played in the orchestra and we had to wear a long skirt and a white blouse.I was okay with it. Buti will never wear skirts everyday. I feel more comfortable in jeans. I prefer to be casual anyway.

I wear pants because skirts make me look fatter. I'm on a diet to lose my last 40 pounds, I lost 65 pounds a couple of years ago and I need to finish up my mission to get to a healthy weight. Skirts look beautiful on women who are thin but we fatties should not wear them!

Here in Kuwait most of the women prefer to have or wear a trousers rather than skirts because it is also one of the Law here in Kuwait that they cannot wear those skirts outside of the house and even the sleeveless kind of blouse....

I like wearing skirts but to be honest, skirts aren´t always so practical. First of all there is the shaving part... ok, I shave my legs no matter what I wear lol I live in a country where it gets really cold during winter months so wearing a skirt is out of the question - really do not want to freeze my a** off hahaha and the work i do, well. I do a lot of interior decorating, designing, even home staging - believe me, one rather wears pants when climing up a ladder or painting walls etc. During hot summer months when I´m on holiday, that´s when I prefer skirts to trausers.

I guess this is one of the few things where women have an advantage over men at least in Western Countries. Women can choose what they want to wear. When I was in the work force I wore skirts and tops or jackets most of the time and pants at home. Now I am retired and wear pants most of the time with the exception on festive occasions or other events I often wear a skirt and blouse or sweater. But yes, I do prefer pants.

I guess I am still living in the past when women were considered not to be feminine if they wore trousers. There was a time when they wouldn't be allowed into Church or even special functions if they wore trousers. I haven't changed with the times and I still prefer to wear skirts and dresses and besides I don't think I would look good in trousers.

I love wearing skirts, especially in the summer, but wearing skirts usually involves shaving, which I hate! Also, wearing pantyhose. So in the winter I usually stick to pants, because I don't have to shave and it is warmer

I like both!for the most part I have to admit I am a slob lol who loves to slop around in her trousers,but that is simply because trousers are easier to deal with,they cover a multitude of sins and they can be put with lots of different tops and still look good!but my very favourite trousers,and I do not mind anyone knowing this,are my oldest tattiest tracky bottoms,and if I was granted one wish,it would be to be able to wear them each and every day lol,but they are getting very scruffy!Nothing wrong with a skirt at all,in fact if we were going somewhere special then I would certainly wear a skirt,I much prefer the calf length skirts.they are so much more flattering to the mature woman.

Hello there ronaldinu I must admit I do prefer to wear trousers as I was once told that I look old in a skirt by my husband, how nice! I think trousers are warmer and easier to move about in.

I prefer trousers, they are more comfortable and you don't have to worry about how you sit or do certain things, I just recently got comfortable wearing trousers to church, on certain occasion I prefer to wear a dress mostly I wear trousers.

i don't wear anything but trousers or shorts around the house. don't likee to dress up.

I feel more comfortable wearing skirts or dresses then trousers and I wear them almost all of the time. I wear sweats when I'm exercising and working in the yard but when I go out I'm always wearing a dress or skirt. Cheers, Tianna

I'm a woman, but I'm definitely a trouser person. Baggy ones, if possible, or fisherman's pants with a tie-up waist. It's just more comfortable, and can't blow up and show your knickers!

Hi ronaldinu, Well in the USA women can wear whatever they want to and I would say that it is divided on women wearing pants and skirts. It is whatever one feels like wearing on a particular day or whatever one feels most comfortable in. Some women feel more comfortable wearing trousers and jackets or suits. Other women wear suits with skirts or skirts with blouses or sweaters. It is up to the individual. But, I would say that there is a pretty even split as to what women will choose.
