What do you call your out door yard cats?

We don't have official names for the outdoor cats. So far, there are only three cats that hang around us, sort of an informal outdoor clan of sisters and moms. They're all related. They're collectively known as "The ladies". My daughter calls them mama. She says, "Lets go feed the mamas!" One of our yard cats just had another baby that looks just like her. This cat is identical to the mom, down to the spots on her legs. My daughter calls her baby Mama! Do you have special names for the cats that live in your yard?

The momma cat that adopted us is called Gabby because she is always meowing and making noise when she sees you. Her babies do not have names. We never did name the kittens. They are just referred to as the kitties. There were 6, but we are down to 4. 2 or them are missing in action.

Where we live, there are no outdoor yard cats. They would get hurt on the roads too quickly, because of all the traffic. We have two indoor cats named Shakti and Mysti. Mysti has been outside when she lived in Sedona AZ, but Shakti has never been an outdoor cat.

Some cats can never go back outdoors once they are inside. My cats are pretty much that way. Zero survival skills!

i only have yard cats by proxy-they're neighbor's cats that seem to prefer hanging over here (which i don't mind ;) )most of them i know their names, but one we just call "bandit kitty" because he has mask markings like a lone ranger's mask..i'm not sure which neighbor he belongs to,but he's clean and shiny,so he must have a home..

all of the outdoor cats have names, even the strays. we have had one that has come around to eat since he was a kitten years ago his name is Sam the stray. Every cat needs a name.

We have one cat that came with the house.. actually three came with the house I believe, but well I'm not exactly sure as it's my fiance's parent's home. One of the cats that still remains (for the other were eaten by Coyotes) his name is Boots... Those are precious names that your daughter has picked out for the animals.

All of the animals have special names that we call them. They are all known as "furbabies". But depending on what kind of mood I'm in or what they are doing they know other names also. The momma that we have..her name is Squirt, but we also call her momma and Squirty momma. I refer to her babies as the kids. Names change on a daily basis around here. If they are all being bad I have even referred to them as the monsters.

I have two outside barn cats. One is named Itty Bitty Kitty and the other one's Syd. Itty Bitty was stunted because it's mother kitty was killed by a coyote and I didn't find it under the barn for a few days. They don't come when I call their names because they're usually hunting mice out in the fields. How I get them to come up to the house is by taking their food can (tin) and shaking the goods...boy, do they come running for that! The outside cats I had quite a few years back were called 'Beat it' and 'Scram.' Beat it and scram were so named because every time you stepped a foot out the door they would be wrapping themselves around your feet and tripping you. They were good kitties otherwise, except for making you fall down the steps on a routine basis lol.

All of my cats, regardless of they're someone else's or mine have names. We have just one that's an outdoor cat at the moment because he's not fixed yet and he comes and goes all the time. I think he belongs to a neighbor but not sure so I'll feed him and give him fresh water as long as he comes around. I can't let an animal go hungry because they didn't ask to be born no more than they asked to be in the situation that they're in so why punish them? This one outdoor cat we named Dreamer for he looks like a Dreamer.
