i had it. our pastors and others were telling to meditate of what was written in the Bible. we were taught to have our daily devotional with the Lord. it is really good. and we, i mean i, have a lot of lessons being found in the Bible. i really liked it. it is God who is talking to me... but sometimes, i don't really meditate. after reading, it would soon be far away from me. i am not living as to what i was reading. which means that i really don't meditate. but do you?...

I sometimes meditate in my devotions, but not always. It kind of depends on a lot of things. For one thing, I am not sure I could even give a correct definition for Biblical meditation. Usually when people talk about meditating, they are talking about an eastern spirituality thing, which I know is totally different from Biblical meditation. I try to think about what the Scripture is saying to me right now, like what aspect of my life this applies to, do I need to change something of continue changing, is it to encourage me in some way. Things like that. Although I do not often last very long, my thoughts tend to be very rapid and I become distracted easily and have to resent my mind many times.

I meditate as often as I can. If I just read a passage then it doesn't really stick out to me. I normally pray before I read, something about helping me to "hear" what God wants me to hear.

There are many good things to be found in the bible and I think we can learn a lot from it. For instance, in agriculture or farming the bible teaches to let the field lie fallow for a year after being used for seven years. That is good advice. Cheers!!

Yes I read a passage of the Bible every day. Sometimes I just read it and other times I really mediate on the words. I agree with you that sometimes we get far away from God and what we have just read, prayed, and learned. We have the answer for that.... Jesus. We all fall short and we are told that we do. I continue to try and stay close, knowing I'll always slip up.

Meditation is very important. Meditation produces success. Every human being wants to be an successful person. When u read bible we can see how godly people are achieved their life in their weekness. They belived God. They accept their inability. They fully depend on HIM Alone. He believed that God's mighty power will deliver us. When u simply read the chapters u can't get succeed. When u mediatate silently and ask God to remind all these things in the toughest times we will won our life battle. No use of reading bible without meditation. Develop mediatation.
