I like Vista more than XP....
XP is good but is much slower and less secure than Vista...also the eye candy in Vista is awesome.... the customization level in vista is two times better than XP.
The best feature of vista is the Direct X 10... it's an awesome software....
Apart from that, most of the modern softwares are compatible for Vista and soon they will end their compatibility with XP like they did before for 98,2000,ME etc.
So it's better that we familiarize ourselves with Vista rather than sticking to XP just we are comfortable with it...

I agree with you. I have XP on my desktop but my boyfriends new laptop has Vista. I don't have trouble with either of them. I try to go on his laptop as much as possible because familiarizing myself with Vista is good considering XP will be obsolete before long. The security is much better with Vista and the graphic quality is awesome.

Why all people say windows vista is a filure. When XP home edition launches, It has somany bugs and after sepvice pack II released, most of the bugs are cleared. In the same way, vista service pack I has released with fixing many problems. If you are buying a vista logo laptop, then it was a great experience with vista areo. Definately you will like it. Try to use it. It was also more secured and user friendly. If you hate the notifications in the vista, you can turn them off by simply chaging the settings. If you really format you laptop, then go ahead. But it makes you waste of money for buying vista which was a ready to use operating system in your laptop. To downgrade the vista to xp, the only option is to backup your data and reformat the drive where vista is installed.
