Should everyone have christmas day off as a paid holiday?

yes they should

It would not be practical. When you suggest everyone having the day off work, this would include the police, hospital staff and the thousands of other people working in essential environments. I do agree that everyone should either have the day off or be entitled to time off later to compensate, but you cannot leave a nucleur power station unattended for a day.

I think they should. I feel for the people who have to work on the holidays

I would say yes too, but some of us do not get that option. People who work in hospitals, police officers, and others that provide vital emergency support should get much better compensation for working these days.
