getting success in family first rather than away world

hi everyone, i want to share ur experience about this.
As a youngster,u need to succeed in both ur family circle and the outside world.
i think,what we do will most probly not encouraged by our mother or father but will b thousand times encouraged by the other people who come to this arguement.we feel very bad about our parents itself and we feel very proud about the others in this world who encouraged us for our work.what does it mean ? does it mean that our family members are jeleousy ? i think "NO",because they say for our sake only.what are your thoughts about this ?? please reply..

Success might be good but it might also be over-rated. We are driven to succeed and to what purpose? I would like to succeed and even if logic dictates that i should, events turn out to be the opposite. What gives?
