I cannot have a good sleep at night for the past few days. I am always tensed,as I am having loads of work at office. I cannot find a good way to ward off the stress. Should I take pills after consulting a doctor...?? What is the best way to ward off this stress factor??? I am confused. Please help and be free to comment.

Pills and medications are NOT the way to combat stress! Stress is caused by emotional factors in our lives. Some stress is good because it urges us on to give of our best but, more often, the worry about the stress itself is what is making it doubly unpleasant - and often for no practical purpose! Emotional Freedom Technique is a very simple technique that is ideal for relieving this kind of problem because it goes to the very heart of it and straightens out the emotions which are actually causing the stress. The basic manual and instructions are absolutely free and you may find them enough to help you. You can see what EFT is here http://www.emofree.com/a/?3252 and there are links to finding out more (and you can also see how others have used it for similar problems). Once you have looked at a few pages, download the Getting Started pack and read the manual. The technique itself only takes a few minutes to learn and once you know it, you will find that you can apply it to all sorts of situations.

I think that a lot of busy people like yourself are undergoing some stress. Some people handle it differently than others. I suffer with a little stress also. I am a stay at home mother of a little boy. I have my ups and downs. Sometimes I hear that meditating is something that can be helpful. Some people seek a doctor's help and can get some relief from a prescription to help anxiety or even stress. I guess you first have to realize what is stressing you. You do say you have loads of work at the office. Well, no wonder you can't rest. You are up half of the time worrying about what is going on at the office and what you are going to do once you get there. You probably feel that there is a lot of pressure upon you. You need some away time if possible. Just to be alone and collect your thoughts. I hope this might have helped you.

I have had and still some times have a hard time letting go of the day so I can go to sleep. I found this web site that not only tells you all about sleeping disorders and things you can do / change but they have a few things you can download for FREE and listen to. They helped me SOO very much! I down loaded them and listened to them every night before I went to sleep. After about 3 weeks I could do all the techniques myself with out the CD. It helped me tremondously! I copied the web link here http://www.shuteye.com/sleep-solutions/relaxation-techniques.aspx that will take you directly to the Relaxation Techniques page. But don't hesitate to go through all the other information too! It truely helps you to let go of the day stop thinking about all that is going on and helps you to focus on YOU and SLEEP. I don't use the techniques as often any more I have trained my body to go to sleep at bed time now. But every once in a while I still need it after a VERY hard day. The ladies voice is very soothing and truely if it helped me it can help any one! www.shuteye.com

it will be better if you practice yoga everyday.Listening to light music will also help. Be free and relaxed whenever you are at home.
