Western man has stopped evolving !!!

I just read an article citing that western man has stopped evolving as they do not have to struggle for their survival and hence the process of natural selction does not work and it's the onus of Eastern men to evolve human race...

The link didn't work, but I absolutely agree with the sentiment. Our biggest evolutionary advantage turned out to be our brains. With our ability to control climate, mass produce food, etc, there is no reason we need most of our survival features. In fact, sometimes when I see little kids running in front of cars, I wonder if we aren't taking a step back!
