Ok, well I am from Quincy IL. And someone I know told me today that a person they are close to had a baby show up on their doorstep yesterday. It's actually the grandchild of the woman, but, daddy is in jail and mommy just brought him to her saying she no longer wanted him!! He is 7 months old, and this woman has all grown children, and has NOTHING for the baby, or any money to get anything for him! Friends have been giving them money for diapers and formula because they dont have money for anything. What do you think about this? What should happen here? What do you think WILL happen here?

thats hard, as a grandma im sure she feels stuck ,wanting to take care of him, but not having the money or being too old. If she went down the route of adoption, she could try to do an open adoption, so she can keep some contact, and the boy can grow up taken care of and knowing that he has other people that love him and tried to take care of him and do whats best for him. PS...I live in Illinois too, where is Quincy?

Quincy is on the border of Missouri about 2 hours or so North of St. Louis.
