There was a focus group (Source: http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1008/Voting_for_Obama_anyway.html?showall) conducted in "an upper-Midwestern state" in which people were shown basically a take-no-prisoners pull-out-all-the-stops attack ad against Obama. It was the kind of ad the guy running the group thought would be the best for McCain to run now.
He apparently was quite surprised by the fact that, despite the groups' overwhelming acceptance of the attacks as being true, most of them, while practically attacking Obama in the same sentence, said they were still going to vote for him. Here's the statement that got my attention the most:
"Well, I don't know much about this terrorist group Barack used to be in with that Weather guy but I'm sick of paying for health insurance at work and that's why I'm supporting Barack."
Got that? This is a person who got the idea (apparently from the ad) that Obama was actually a member himself of the Weather Underground, and basically has accepted the (obviously false, but I digress) claim that Obama is literally a terrorist, and still--STILL--is going to vote for him.
Wow. You guys are screwed.
P.S. I'm still voting, and so should everyone else. Twenty days remain--make sure you're a part of history come November (if not sooner)!

LMFAO! That's so funny! I'll be voting for Obama in November (wish me luck I'm in Ohio)!

It looks like the Obama people have got a good eye down there, so hopefully there will be no shenanigans. Best of luck, but I do recommend voting early if at all possible, especially if you can do it in person (early voting has to be done by mail in some states, I heard somewhere):

I'll be voting myself. Mind you, I've been registered for years (about 30 of them) but I'm honestly concerned that I'll be turned away at the polls this year because the house in which I rent an apartment has been foreclosed upon and is in bank hands. If so, I fully expect to be included in the numbers of "Democrats who tried to vote fraudulently".

Well the nice thing is that Ohio is currently controlled by the Democrats and even though I hate the governor's idea with education I'm sure that he will make sure that everyone that is legally allowed to vote be able to. I plan on doing one of those provisional ballot/votes whichever if they say anything. I plan on taking my picture ID and S.S. cards as well.
