Should Abortion Be Legal?

No. I believe that abortion has become so out of control that it has become a form of contraception. There is a high physical and mental cost involved and many of the young women who have abortions are not always fully aware of these consequences. From a philosophical perspective I also wonder whether we would have a cure for AIDS and other diseases now if someone hadn’t aborted the child that was going to ultimately find the cure. Of course this also applies in reverse - how many Hitlers have been prevented from being born, but I think that society is better equipped to deal with that situation if it were to arise again.

I have pro and cons about this topic. I think abortion can be done if it pregnancy can endangers the mother. But if it is done for the purpose of throwing away a baby that will shame you later, it should be banned. I think everybody should be responsible with what one's did. By throwing your problem away wouldn't solve anything. instead face it like a grown up should.

Abortion solves unwanted pregnancy perfectly. It doesn't make you less of an adult to not want to carry every pregnancy.

It should not be legal, however certain provisions should be made to exempt valid reasons, for instance if a woman has a certain medical condition and her body cannot support pregnancy, or in the case where rape wherein impregnated victims chooses not to bear the child..or other valid reasons. women who resort to abortion just to conceal adulterous acts should be dealt accordingly.. and abortionists should be punished just like murderers

this is a sticky subject. and many people are going to get upset and passionate either way. Personally ... I feel that abortion should be legal but limited. Some women use it as a form of birth control. but there comes a time or you run into a situation and you feel that is your only option. I think that's as far as I'm going to go with that. :) happy lotting lol
