Thought that might get some attention as I haven't written any poems today. Anyone ever thought that Neil Diamond's lyrics sound like poetry. I suggest he compile them into a book of poetry. He insists that he writes lyrics. If it sounds like poetry, it is poetry to me. I would buy the book 10 x over and would even help him in compiling his works. Well my lot people do you think this will go over with Neil Diamond fan?

Yes! Neil Diamond's lyrics are poetry! I have always thought that! I would also help him compile his works! Especially since that would mean getting to meet the man!

It's always been my contention that all lyrics are poems. They just a have a different musicality than traditional poems. And a good poem sings, if you know what I mean. I was an English major in college and now when I'm hammering away in my reno business I can swear with beauty.:)
