Do you hear voices?

Are you one of the gazillion people in the world that hear voices? Has it affected you? If so, in what way? And do you believe that it is mentally, or there's "something" out there that's doing this to you? I ask you this because the first one in my family to hear voices was my mom. She started years ago. Maybe around the late 90's. Then it was my dad around 2004 or so. And all of a sudden, my eight year old brother starts hearing them. And they're no goodie voices. They're insulting voices. The "I'm going to kill your family" type. Do you experience with the same thing, or do you know someone that does?
