Is it Wife or Mother.

I'll rather choose my own bride... my parents really hate the Protestant... and I'm in love with a girl who is a Catholic... Even though both protestant and catholic are different, my parents just never accept any girl who's a christian (catholic/protestant)... I'm 19 now... I think I'm old enough to make my own decision... I will choose Esther...

My marriage was arranged by family members. I never met him before. Never had any date. The only date we knew was a family gathering. At first it was so hard to adept to him. He doesn't listen to me and always give me the silent treatment when he felt I was wrong. But as the year went by, I felt that my marriage was worth it. We had a 2 year old son which he adored so much and he always caters to my need. He always makes me laugh. I don't know what happen before and I don't want to know. As long as I am happy with the marriage, it is okay with me. For me, arranged marriage or love marriage does not matters, but how do you treat each other is important. Respect and love will make your way into the marriage.

I think it depends that weather it should be a love or arrange. It's no hard and fst rule and mmany people dont find love before they get married. So i dont believe that u have to fall n love to get married. I mean u didn't choose your mother father siblings but u love them. Same is the way wih arranged marrige, with due course of time u love ur spouse too. I am not opposing love marige here. Moreover for a newly wed its not right to compare ur mom and ur wife. both have there own place in the family.. but he needs to spend more time with his wife in the begining. I come from a country INDIA where arranged marriges are abt 97% and only 3% love marriges but still the divorce rate is much much low than that of so called love marrige favouring countries. It's just the fac that if u kep divorce as an option or not. But i must use a line by COURTNEY COX and DAVID ARQUETTE "A deal is a deal"
