What is your opinion people using MP3 ?

Every where I see people using MP3, most especially the young people. Sure, they are using MP3 in their cellphones listening the music. One time I ask the student with MP3 in a jeepney, where I happen to shout because he did not hear me. And when he get his ear phone, he still cannot hear me. Does MP3 make these people dumb?
