Jollibee is the #1 fast food chain in the Philippines. Its menu is adjusted to suit the Filipino palette so most of the food is sweet. It also features signature Filipino dishes such as azzor caldo (they still have this right?) and palabok. Jollibee has become so successful that it even has a few branches in China and in the States. So for those of you familiar with this fast food chain, which do you prefer: Jollibee or McDo(nald's)?

Hey there! I know Jollibee is the number one fast food chain here in the Philippines, but I still prefer McDonalds. I don't know. It's just that I often go there and I've already got use to it.

Hi mimico...
I would have to go with Mcdonald's. Like you said, most of the food that Jollibee serves is sweet. I don't really like eating sweetened spaghetti. There are a couple of dishes that I like from Jollibee, the bacon mushroom cheeseburger is something that I can eat. Aside from that, I can't eat any burger from there because I burp up the meat. I also love love love the sundae from Jollibee. Yum. The rest, I'd go with Mcdo. I grew up with that.

I forgot to add the peach mango pie. Yup. I like that. The chicken though would go to Mcdo. It has more taste and I love Mcdo's gravy... yummy.

I used to like Jollibee's spaghetti when I was a kid but now the fake red hotdogs just grosses me out. I love their Chikenjoy though. And the peach mango pie is so good! I like McDonald's sundae. I think it's way better. Sadly it's so expensive now!! It used to be P20 only!!!

I like the spaghetti of Jollibee better than that of McDonald's. I like Palabok, Jolly Hotdog and their Creamy Macaroni Soup as well.

That is sometimes just what I take for lunch. I like it because it's creamy and tasty. Why don't you try it?

[i]Hello mimico,
It doesn't matter, I go eat at both fast food chain. Each has something to offer and both food taste good and a bit differently. Jollibee taste Pinoy and I like there burger, chicken, fries and palabok. At Mcdonalds, burger, fries and chicken.
The food are similar but they taste differently and I like both the Pinoy and American taste.

I prefer Jolibee. I like their fries, its very crunchy but I like the Hamburger of McDonalds than Jolibee. And I think I like the Crispy chicken of Jolibee than McDo though same are delicious. And currently I like the endorser of Jolibee, Sarah Geronimo. She is one of my favorite actress in the Philippines. And I also like the commercial before where all are dancing inside the restaurant. The song is joyful.
I don't know which is more delicious when it comes to spaghetti. I Don't order spaghetti. I only eat spaghetti that is homemade. Maybe I will choose the spaghetti from McDo. You said most of the food in Jolibee are made sweet so maybe I wil choose McDo for spaghetti. Good day everyone!

The kids in the philippines apparently love and prefer jolibee over mcdo. They say that even a child with limited vocabulary can san the brand name and when they see it, they readily recognize it. As for me, I often go to jolibee but I also have tried mcdo. I think for me, depending on the convinience, I'll choose the nearest or the one that I find first(in the mall). I also let my friends decide and sometimes we go to mcdo only when jollibee is full. I cant tell buy now which serves the best dishes.

hhmmmm... well, I'm a Filipino so I will choose Jolibee over Mcdonald's.heheh. I love Jolibee's cripsy hot chicken and their swirly bitz.. That's what I order most when I eat there. But to be fair, Mcdonald's has the better burger and better tasting french fries. Due to this, I actually go to McDonald's when I feel like eating a burger. Still, I love Jolibee better... in general.

I always prefer Jollibee over Mcdonalds. It's not that Jollibee is a Filipino fastfood, but the taste is really good compares to Mcdonalds. Every food in the menu of Jollibee is worthy. I don't know, maybe because Mcdonalds is an American company and their taste is tailored to American taste and it did not suit well with my taste preference.
Sometimes, I and my friends eat in Mcdonalds but always end up in disappointment that we wished we had chosen jollibee instead.

Hi! It depends on the food that each is selling. I prefer the spaghetti and french fries at McDonald's, whereas I enjoy the hamburger/cheeseburger at Jollibee. I also appreciate that Jollibee keeps on coming up with more Filipino food. The fastfood chain really strives to be truly Filipino and that's something to be proud of. Well, there's no Jollibee here in Philadelphia because there are very few Filipinos here, but when I went home for a vacation last summer, I really ate a lot of Jollibee food!

Maybe you mean arroz caldo, mimico, the rice porridge. I don't think they still have it. What I know is they have the macaroni soup and the la paz batchoy. Jollibee's meal is changing as time passes. That's the difference with McDonalds. McDo did not change their menu as far as I know. But I like them both though there are more branches of Jollibee that's why they are so accessible for many. My husband and I goes for a long walk every weekend and we eat our breakfast at Jollibee. We like the boneless milkfish and the corned beef breakfast meal plus the hot chocolate.

I've always been a Jollibee Kiddie! When I was younger I never loved going to McDonald's except when their Value Meal is so irresistable, which seldom happens. I only ate their Burger Mcdo. But whenever I am in Jollibee, I would always end up burping due to lots of food I've eaten.

i prefer mcdo more than jollibee. well, call me colonial but its just that. it is a fact that children do love the "happy bee". i think i must've gotten into that stage, hmmm. but anyways, as i grew up, i think i just gotten a little too accustomed to it that i wanted something different. and i feel like its too kid-sy there, like their very target are kids with all the jolli-kid and stuff. so i think mcdo paints a bit more teen-y picture which suits me since i am a teen. just a thought.:)
