do you get along with your in-laws?

its a cliche here in the philippines or maybe in other parts of the world that you never get along with the in-laws..remember the movie monster-in-law? i think you'll have the idea..is it true that you always clash ideas and beliefs with in-laws? can they really be monsters-in-law?

My ex-MIL and I had differing views and didn't get along much. I get along very well with my current in-laws though.

My mother in law get along - I really like her. She's sweet but could be over bearing at times. Her husband, my husband's step father... we get along he's respectful but he has his views skewed. I'm hispanic... he's a Caucasian from the south... he makes some rude racial comments but they always end with "but not you". And he'll say I'm not racist I hate everyone... or I do have one colored friend -- who says that anymore?! It makes me uncomfortable, I have told him that - but we get along other wise. He's set in his views - most older people are. But he would give the shirt off his back if you needed it.
but to answer your question lol yes we get along.

you're right about the older people, it's just funny and frustrating sometimes when we deal with them but in the end everything turns out just fine..

I always believe that different people have different mindsets, different opinions, different ways of thinking, the main point is we need to respect the other person and also difference between us. I always have different opinions with my own parents and also my husband too, as long as we understand and compromise at last, I think it should be fine. I do get along with my in-laws quite well. They are quite open-minded and they always respect my thoughts. Of course, I'll listen to their opinions too.

yea i really do get along with them they are nice people.i just do not have a thing in the world in comon with them this makes it really boring for me.

i do get along with my in laws however we have nothing in comon it makes it very hard around holidays and other times its very boring but they are nice people
