Is it a real story

Wasn't the diamond in Titanic suppose to be the " Hope Diamond?".. If it was the Hope Diamond then yes, the Hope diamond is real and legend has it to be a cursed diamond as well because supposedly really bad things happened to all of the people who allegedly owned the diamond.Hence, why the ship sank.. I could be wrong though! :)

The acccident is true ,the ship is true also,but the romatic story between Jack and Rose is for the sake of making the story more impressive,and if the love story didn't exist,the diamond certainly didn't exist,either.

the story of the movie is a hollywood love story but the sinking of the ship 'titanic' is true. the ship sank on april 14/15, 1912 with a great loss of life and their is actually a 'j. dawson' buried in a canadian cemetary, but he was someone that worked on the ship, not the fictional character from the movie.

The Titanic is a real ship. It did sink on its maiden voyage. It did hit an iceberg. No the diamond doesn't really exist. It was used as a plot point to make the story more interesting.

titamic really exist and i would assume that the diamond does exist too. it's a true story and others have even and still try to recover some other things from the titanic

ya thats a real story though a bit of fiction is added to it to bring about more entertainment, however dont know about the diamond thing

i think the titanic ship is true and it sank long time ago..but the love story it's kinda fabricated. But it's true that the titanic is the most beautiful ship during that time and it's true that there's survivors...they just put jack and rose for the movie to sell..hehehe
