I don't know much about antivirus and I would like to know from people here about what antivirus is best to use in a computer. I have used Norton but the subscription is already expired and I am thinking of getting a new antivirus which is better. Can anyone recommend what is the best out there? Thanks much

AVG Antivirus. It's free, it has a lot of functions, such as it scans downloaded files for viruses, and scans your computer in the background to keep you safe from hidden viruses. It can integrate you into Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer, and tell you whether a website is safe.
You can download the free version, or go with the Pro version, which you have to pay for, but it scans your emails and attachments for viruses.
And finally, it is constantly updated with virus databases, so nothing gets through your protection.
Coupled with a firewall, this could stop viruses in their tracks.

Good antivirus softwares are nearing extinction. Some claim they are good yet they cannot even detect a trojan horse. I do not want to post the particular softwares because it may jeopardize their names. Anyhow, if you really want to be virus-free, then switch to an Apple PC. Viruses do not attack apples.
