Windows Versus Linux

I am still trying to debate which is the best operating system: Windows or Linux.
As we all know, Windows is more commonly used than Linux because of its commercial popularity. But do you know that Linux is totally free? Unlike Windows, you don't have to buy a license key to use Linux. However, application-wise, some software may not run or not compatible with Linux.
I tried both, I even had my PC go dual-OS (Operating System). But I can't still vote which is the best.
What OS are you using right now? Have you tried dual-OS? If not, are you willing to try Linux instead of Windows, or Windows instead of Linux?
Let us discuss it here: What is really the best Operating System for you?

I like Linux... I use Ultima Linux, it can be run as a live CD so you can try it before you Install and if you dont like it all it cost you was a CD to burn it.
its a smaller Linux Distro but the Developer is super helpful if you have problems. you can get it at www.ultimalinux.com

Hmmm.... Ultima, sounds interesting, well, I have tried Ubuntu Linux. Maybe I'll try it next time. If it is on a CD then it must be great. You know a lot of problems may occur during installation, and I encountered a lot of them when I installed Ubuntu and Windows in my computer. You know, I had to reformat the whole unit and unfortunately lose some valuable data and information. Huhu!

The choice varies on your purpose and softwares you try to install in the selected operating system. If I were you you try install Windows and Install VMware Workstation and create a virtual computer and install the linux.

Windows are more common to people than Linux and I think a lot of people prefer using Windows because of it is easier to use than Linux. Personally, I prefer using Windows as it is what I am more familiar with and I'm satisfied using it;though I would try using Linux someday.

i've posted elsewhere that basically there is no best. It all depends on your personal needs and preferences, and your level of expertise in technical equipment/software.
