Are you a good listener when somebody open a problem to you?

Some of my friends they go for me to shared thier secrets,problems and difficulties in life coz they know that i can keep secrets and they said im a good adviser. But they know that i have problems also that i can solve on my own. So.. sometimes im not a good listener especially if i have problems also..

i always take pride in being a good listener.. sometimes, my friends can talk to me for a very long period of time and ill just sit there listening to them.. i dont what is the impact of listening to them - to just sitting there - but it seems to help them, and ease their problems a bit.
and its not always that i give advises.. i just listen.. and believe me, it helps a lot...
