Do you notice your friends in here by the avatar or by username ?

Since most of my friends have different pictures almost everyday i look for their names..this way i won't miss them or be confused

I think I remember people by both, but it is easier to see visually if it is a unique avatar that they have. That way it can be spotted easier and more quickly, for me at least this is the case. It kind of puts me off when my friends change their avatars! Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

As much as I can, I'll remember my friends both on their avatars and their usernames, kinda useful that way, because some of my friends often change their avatars. However, I still easily notice and remember them with their avatars, it was the first thing I notice and then their usernames. Some of my friends change their avatar quite often and truly at first it confuse me, but after awhile, I'll remember them with their username.

You were trick winzpc. I noticed all my friends by both their Avatar and their names. You have to know the names because persons tends to change their avatar on a regular basis. All the regular contributors to me whether they are my friends or not I know their avatar and when they change it. Well take care. Kerry

I use a unique one so I can find if I have responded to everyones answers in any discussion I have started. I think you would agree that an OM symbol is unique.

With those who i really know... i can recognize them through their name... some are quite easy to remember... but with some... i can only remember them through their avatar... so it is sometime difficult for me when they change this... it would be nice if they would start a discussion that they just changed their avatar so that we would all know immediately... to avoid confusion...

I recognize most of my friends by their avatars. The names are to small to be read sometimes and the avatars are easier to remember. I would know if you are in my friend list if I see your avatar.

I usually recognize my friends by their avatars but sometimes, like you, I don't recognize them because they changed it. I wish people would keep the same one because I like that I can recognize them by it. That is the idea of having one, no? I think you may have changed yours too? I don't seem to recogize it. I don't accept all the friends requests I get. I go through their profile to make sure we have some things in common before I accept. If the person is too young and all of their discussions are about things I don't know about, I wouldn't be able to respond to their discussions so why would I be there friend. The idea behind friendships here in mylot is so we can respond to each others discussions and help each other to earn.

If they do not change their avatars often by their avatar, if not by their usernames.

Both, I usually can identify them faster by their avatar, then I will look at the name to make sure that it is the right person, some users change their avatar constantly.

I do not think that the personnal pictures friends is important for identifying them because we can know them based on their username !!

I will notice them by their avatar, because it's bigger and easier to find.. lol =D And luckily for me, none of my frenz in mylot has got the same avatar.. lol =D But there are few of my frenz whom shared similar usernames.. Thus, it's much more easier for me to see who is who from their avatar ^_^ hehe

I try and do both. why? Because people have the option of changing the avatar. I don't want to miss them. Or get caught off guard. It sharpens the mind to pay attention.

Hi there! I always look at the username to recognize who my friends are. I also recognize their avatar but there are some that often changes it so I just check on the username to be sure. Ciao!

oh my. I was contemplating on making a topic similar to this, because to me I remember most of my friend here through their avatar, like yours, I remember your avatar. and if I see that I knew we were friends. I might not remember your name but your avatar I sure do. I do have friends here that I know their avatar, like this one I call mom, her avatar is a flower with a small picture on inside, there is this one who have kids like me and I so love her avatar because it is one of my favorite fruit, there is also this writer in India, whom I have high respect, her avatar is of a cat. there a lot more and I could go on and on. There was a time when I answered to a discussion and told the user about the "other discussion" he or she started, it turns out that it was totally different user and that their avatar were only the same. then there was a friend who changed her avatar and I almost did not recognize it. there I do hope that users will take time putting an avatar because it really helps a lot, specially to your friends, so they would know you better.

Hey Winzpc,since most of mylotters like to change their avatars perodic and thus it'll be hard for me to notice them by the avatar~I usually see their username coz it's more familiar.However,some of my friends here have the say special avatars that I think they will not change so frequency due to the cute avatars or uniquely avatars~have a nice day la~

well some of my friends are very active and i can easily recognize them by their user name and avatar and i usually use both and my memory is somewhat good and i easily remember their avatar and username. the fact being that i haven't made many friends and they mostly don't change their avatar as they have been here quite some time now and i still consider myself fairly new to mylot!
