I usually will answer the phone then after the call resume what I was doing or going to do. Never know if it could be a emergency or not I have a answering machine but it s rarely turned on.

It would depend on who was calling. For instance, if it was my husband I would answer it. But if it was a telemarketer I would let my voicemail get it.

I think it's getting to the point where we screen all our calls and don't answer the phone when it rings anymore. I'm not one to chat on the phone anyway and it's a luxury to not have to answer the phone actually.
Of course, then when we screen and call and really want to talk to that person, we just about break our collective necks rushing to get the phone lol.

I would let it ring and follow up later. Then again, I'm not often called by anyone of importance except my wife. If someone needs to reach me, they can call my cell phone. If I don't get that at the time, it's because I'm busy. I will check and usually call back. I'm happy with that.

Hi Ersmommy, I will let the answerphone pick it up as if it is important they will leave a message. Mealtimes are for eating and I make my girls put their mobiles on silent whilst we eat and I like to relax in the bathroom, thats my me time so unless they keep ringing which alerts me to something being up I will ignore.
