Did you know that in the UK,whatever the amount you pay for petrol, the government takes 75% of it? 75%! the other 25% goes to te petrol station and yet these people make millions of pounds a second!I read the other day that the 3 major fuel dealers in the UK had declared their earnings this year and for the first 4 months of the year they made over £6million a second!!! yep,a second. People complain that the gas prices are very high in this country and it is partly because of those greedy mo fos in Government and Fuel dealers! Are fuel prices high in your country?

Yes! I'm in the USA, and fuel is definitely priced high here. People are all outraged at the "greed" of the big oil companies, but I don't buy into it. I agree with you that the government is the real problem. Think about it: the "big bad" oil companies have to find the oil, drill and bring it out of the ground, ship it to us here in the USA, refine it, move it via truck to a gas station, and then sell it to consumers. For all of this work, they make about 8% profit. The government does...(drumroll please)...nothing! They get paid exorbitant taxes on every gallon of gasoline purchased, and they do no work for it! On average, federal, state, and local taxes on gasoline in the USA is .19-.29 per gallon. If you are upset about the price of gas, look no further than you government at work!
