Does anyone know of any natural teeth whiteners you can use? I hear that brushing with baking soda and a mixture of lemon juice and salt makes teeth whiter. Has anyone tried those and do they work? Are the milder than the products on the market? Please let me know as I'd like to try something like that

Hi. ethereal. I heard that using baking soda and warm water can remove stains on the teeth. It makes teeth more whiter and cleaner. I think that it is more milder on the teeth. It acts as an abrasive element.

As achild I had noticed that eating sugar cane raw by deskinning and making pieces of it by the teeth and then chewing to extract the cane juice will do the trick on the teeth insofar as whitening them is concerned. The hard fiber does the job of "brushing" and the sweet juice is enticing to swallow. Of course, if you are a diabetic or want to be on a low calorie diet then this idea is not helpful.

I don't know how true it is but I was told never to use baking soda on my teeth as it would take the enamel off them. You can buy a tooth whitening powder which is reasonably cheap and it keeps your teeth nice and white. It is called Eucryl and if you can't get it in one of your local supermarkets, then you can purchase it on the internet.
