How long have you been "the best mom (or dad) ever!", according to your kids?

Today is day 4 of me being the "best mom ever!", according to my 9 yr old son. This is a record breaking day, as my being "awesome" usually only lasts about a day or so, if that. But this time is different, because when my boys came home from a Thanksgiving weekend at their grandparents' home, they came home to a new kitten.
The kitten's name is Katiana, or Kat for short. But we call her Katie. She is absolutely delightful, and the boys are in love with her as much as I am. I've attached a picture I took of her on Saturday a few hours after she was delivered to my home (thanks to Myrrdin! ).
When was the last time your child(ren) said you were the best? What did you do that made them feel that way? How long did it last? What's the longest number of days you've heard it said to you?

I'm sure it will go up and down in waves... that would be the typical mother and daughter pattern. :)

Thank you! :) Yes, I finally have my little girl! hahaha! Anything pink that I can find for cats, I'm jumping at the chance to buy it.

wow..I've always been the "bestest coolest mom" actually LOL with them and their friends..what did I do to have it said to me? Nothing in particular that I can think of..they say its just becauase I'm the kind of mom that I am ya know..I'm strict but laid back, I'm firm but fun, they can talk to me about anything without fear of me judging them, I'm a big kid myself, and I'm a "freak" LOL
