I heard that Dual CORE processor giving advantages to multitasking only But the core speed are not as good as Single Core. For an example , the Athlon 5200X2 ,the stated core speed is 2.6GHZ ,Its not meant to be 2.6GHZ X 2 but its 2.6/2, 1.3GHZ only. Does it mean its slower than a 3200 single core and under requirement for some latest games, such as crisis.Lets discuss.

Dual core means there are two processors running or two cpus running. Increasing the speed also increases the heat that is dissipated. In order to avoid overheating, two processors are employed which means double the load and double the productivity without increasing speed and increasing the heat. Cheer!!
