Who's your favorite writer ever? Who would go to buy a book as soon as you see their name? For me, its Cornelia Funke. I love her books especially the Inkheart series. So, who's your favorite?

i can thoughly agree with U the way Neruda cherishes words is wholesome i guess He perceives words as individual entities, beings with their own specific existence

This time, it would be Ken Follet I'm smack dab in the middle of Pillars of the Earth. It's about 1000 pages long. A neighbor loaned it to me, and it's really interesting so far. I saw it was a historical novel about the Middle Ages and so I thought I'd be bored. But it's fascinating! It's about a builder whose goal is to build a magnificent cathedral, his journeys and the people surrounding him. It also makes me darned grateful I didn't live in the Middle Ages. Lots of gorey things happen. And they didn't have computers and televisions and movies heh heh.

I think I would have to say Stephen King. His writing isnt exactly great literature, but it never fails to keep me entertained and wondering what is going to happen. I think he is a great writer and i really enjyoy reading his stuff. I used to like Daphne DuMaurier, but the best thing she ever wrote was Rebecca and nothing else came close to that in my opinon.

...Mine is Stephanie Meyer...She is the author of the series Twilight, New moon and Ecclipse...Hope you rry reading it....Yes its a thick book but once you start reading it...you will really like the story and you will be suprise that you nearly read the all the pages of the book....The story is that there was a girl who fell in love with a vampire.....I will not tell you the story so that you can have a chance to read it yourself.....because for me...you can really understand a story not by asing a person to narrate but when it is you who actually read it...so try..it!

I like books by a lot of scifi/fantasy writers and don't have one particular favorite. I been reading into anthologies so I can get a taste of what each writes. My favorite collections so far is the Green Man anthology and firebird. Although anytime I see anything published through Tor Fantasy, I go crazy lol.

Everytime I see a new one I just have to have it....but now there is a new author...well he is new to me...Greg Isle...he is really good as well. And I don't have all his so when I see them I just want to buy them.
