Financial success is possible... but how probable?

Have you ever wondered why only a few people reach the highest levels of financial success? Why is it that 5% of the worlds population owns 95% of the worlds wealth? While the best thing we can do for ourselves is to dream big and to reach for the stars, we should also consider what our probabilities are to actually get a hold of one of those stars, I mean; only one. I don't aspire to become the next Bill Gates or Warren Buffet but I shure would like to own a small piece of the pie, while the posibilities for any one to become a billionaire are endless, the probabilities are much more limited based on each persons background, educational level, the way a person is brough up and raised, and even the part of the world in which a person is born, for instance; a person who was born and lives in a third world country may have the same dreams and aspirations to succeed in life as a person who is born and lives in a developed nation, but the probabilities for success for each other are unfairly balanced, why? And what can be done to bring equal probabilities to success to everyone, no matter who you are, where you're born, and what background you come from?

I think it is possible even if you are not born with that but is very enterpreneurial then you won't have a problem with it. My cousins would tell me stories of people who were really poor but were able to move themselves out of poverty and infact they are quite well-off now. :)

I know its possible, there are many stories of people who have achieved great success and amased great fortunes and who started from scratch. But what is it that makes the difference and why are the probabilities to reach such levels so slim for most of us who were not born with a silver plate?

I am always thinking of financial success. I have to bring myself down to earth because it seems to me that financial success is something that is fiction for me. I can think about it but it never happens. There is always not enough money. Life is not easy for me.
