GASTRIC BYPASS anyone out there ever had it done yet?

hey guys anyone out there ever had gastric bypass done, my mama is gonna have it done and she is really stressed out and scared but thinks its best thing for her in the long run . who out there has had it done ? and how do you feel now how many monthes out after surgery? thanks

No, I have not had it but I have had about 3 friends who did it. At first they did not look to well and about 2 of the was kind of sick. They had to get use to the fact that the could not eat a whole lot. I think the intake had to be the size of your fist.
As their bodies began to get use to it the look so much better.

I have thought about it often but can't bring myself to do it because of the risk of surgery. I know that my risk is very high being overweight, too, but I keep holding out hope that THIS TIME I will be able to diet successfully. I work out 3 to 4 times a week but cannot get the eating under control. Just one step at a time and I hope I will make it.
