My manager is a good guy but he is very by the book. he does things the way they should be done and rarely bends flexes for anyone, employees included. my assistant manager believes employees are friends and rules should be bent for them. because of this when people need something they go to my assistant mngr. The other day he sold an employee tires (which were for the emp's brother). Our discount is cost + 10%. But our families only get 10% off. The assitant manager sold the emp the tires for cost + 10% and the manager found the invoice and changed it. the employee is now threatening to quit he is so mad. He claims that if he known how much the new invoice was he wouldnt have purchased the tires at all. but can he really be mad when he was taking advantage of the assistant manager? he knew what the price should have been and that he was going around policy. what do you think?

Lucky for u your manager is a good guy. My manager is not that good. He is a mean person and he does everything only for our GM. He used to be her(GM) secetary, and now, i become the secetary and he becomes the manager. He is incharge for our HR and executive Dept. but my collegues and I all know he's not the perfect one for this position. He will never consider the staffs except for boss conmanding. And also, he is very by the book even he doesn't quite get the idea of the book.
