If you have a daughter, how about making her first or middle name Ainsley?
I was named for my mom, and she was named for her cousin's wife, so they were both named Lillian Ainsley
Our minister (who goes by Jerry) has an unusual spelling of Gerald for his first name: Jerrold
My maternal grandma's name was Fayra Katrina
Emery (also can be spelled Emory) is different for a guy.
My goddaughter spells her son's name Karl instead of Carl.
Marshall is also a different name for a guy.
I know a couple with a little girl who was born on the Fourth Of July, and they named her Laura Independence.

Our daughter's name is Nanesko. Sounds strange, and that's because it is. We are caucasian, but my husband does Kanji calligraphy. One day, he was just writing out some of his favorite symbols, and stumbled upon something that looked really pretty. Upon translating it, he discovered that the pronunciation was "na-ne-su-ko." It's obviously Japanese, but it has absolutely no translation into English whatsoever. To our knowledge, she's the only person in the world with this name, which means she can make it mean whatever she wants it to mean. We think it's very pretty, and now that she's old enough to say it, she really loves it herself.

Not at all! That would be really awesome, in fact! Let me know what you decide!

Oh my, congrats! Best of luck to you and your wife! Ooh, fancy names, eh? I love unique names too. How about.. Aurora? Satomi (it's Japanese)? Umm. Karina, Evelyn.. Karissa... Wow I'm not creative today. I'm usually much better with names. As for a boy... Lucien/Lucas...Cole.. Amberoise hehe but that's a little extreme. It's pretty though. I'm bad today. xD I hope you find a great name though! Babynames.com is a great source.

Satomi is a japanese girl name alright. I like that one as well as Karina/Karissa and Lucien.
We're thinking of having Ayame Rozlin or Rei Leina for a girl. For a boy, its either Zaimaru Kyle or Lyle Zettamaru
But all of these are not yet final so we're still on the look-out for names that will catch our fancy.
Thanks for the reply.

If it's a girl how about MYRIKAL, pronounced miracle this is a original name I came up with a few years ago. And if it's a boy how about BRIAN, the name came from a great Irish king.

congratulations :) that is a great event! now, if you would like, I have thought of what names I would give to my children (when I will have a family) and I narrowed down a list of a bout 250 to just 7 names: Sebastian, Daniel, Michael and Constantine for boys, and Maria, Melanie and Helen for girls. I hope I can be of help.
