Progress of the philippines in the last 100 years?

hhmmmm hoe would you defne progress? if we would talk about technology, i believe that there has been a lot of progress here in the Philippines. I also think that for the past one hundred years, there has been a lot of progress. I can't imgaine myself stil being the Maria Clara type today. Thank God for Progress! Still, there are a lot of issues and problems that the country face today. That is why we can't clearly see the progress we have made so far. It would be good though if the framework of this ''progress'' would be human development so that all can benefit and that no one can manipulate the country's resources.. most corrupt? hmmm they are all corrupt! even if they said they are not, they can't control their people who are....

We used to have a good economy before the Marcos Regime. I am not sure If i rememeber it right but our enconomy used to be right behind Japan on a certain point. Erap didn't corrupt that much. He got his money from jueteng. I think it's a close fight between Arroyo and Marcos. Remember, our economy was in a bad shape when the Marcos was ousted from power. I think the president is somehow dedicated with her job. The problem is the people close to her

well my friend 100 years is a long way to summarize the progress of the philippines..if you can say 5 or 10 years then that is reasonable...im sure there are many things that the philippines can be proud of i just lost those letter stating the developments of our country.how i wish i could retrace them..but to answer your question about the most corrupt..no doubt i will say arroyo...her husband is manipulating her moves.
