i wish i could write a book..is it ok if i dreamed?

It really depends. I never thought I was a writer, but I just started to have ideas, from the world around me. Often you can't just say that you are going to write, you have to have an idea. Often the idea doesn't have to be much, but then you build around it. I wrote a whole 15 page story from one idea which in the story turned out to become only one paragraph. Often my ideas come from things I would like. I have always hated the modern world, loving the game Morrowind, then I got more involved in the game, started having great ideas about it, decided to write them. Now, the story is 18 pages long, and growing! Have an idea, write it down, have more ideas, write them down. Often smaller ideas you can incorporate into your story, making it even better. I have found that if you do just sit down and try to come up with an idea, even if you do get one, the storyline will end up being quite weak. I had a story, the idea I had had for at least 7 years, wrote it several times, decided it wasn't a good storyline, deleted the whole thing.

i will say:try,try,try.writing is my habit,i write my daily for 20 years.i always want to write stories,i got lots stroies in my heart,never try.i think i will do now,take a piece of paper and a pen,do it!so just do it now.

20 years down the line you will be regreting why you did not do certain things than why you did something. So try it now. Better way get a blog. Write for 3 months then you will see people will be coming and they will read your articles. Believe me people read from novice to pro. But nobody complains. By practice you can write more and better. So come on . Write now.
