Have you tried wishing upon a shooting star?

When I was young I always look up the sky waiting for a shooting star to come and when I see one I always make a wish. Now that I am older and reminisce the days not of my wishes do come true.

i did wish on a shooting star more than twice i think.. there's this saying that upon seeing the star you have to close your eyes and make a wish. if you finished the wish, opened your eyes and still see the shooting star then your wish will come true..;o) i may have gotten it right, got my wish!;o)

Hello,Masmasika! It is superstitious belief of the people.No falling star( meteor) fulfills the wishes of anybody.There is no proof to that effect.In the past when we were in school out of curiosity we did wish many times but failed to achieve anything.thanx.

Hi Masmasika, so far i didn't have chance to see the shooting star, previously i do try to catch the shooting star rain, but not success. But i do believe that shooting star would really help to fulfill my wish if i manage to wish before it ends. Hopefully like you said, have the chance to wish that!!! Just a quick note form Wiki: "A shooting star is the common name for the visible path of a meteoroid as it enters the atmosphere. A shooting star is also broken pieces of meteors that have become broken off in space.", so does it really able on fulfilling our wish ?

I have tried wishing on a star a few years ago. that was the first time I saw one believe it or not. Since then I was so facinated by shooting stars... I named my daughter star -- well her middle name... I have a shooting star on my ankle :) I don't remember what I wished for ... but I"d love to wish on another star!

I never saw a shooting star (that I remember) that I wished upon... Did wish on the first star i saw at night for a while though... it was funny because I always wished for an easy bake oven... I wanted one so bad... Glad my parents never got one for me though When I got older I got one used, and it was WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY overrated XD lol so yeah...

yes, many a times but never got positive results.that is... i always makw a wish whenever I see a shooting star but my wishes never come true. May be God is not happy with me at all or may be its all rubbish that wishes come true about seeing a shooting star.

oh sure, especially when i was younger. i grew up living on property that that was a ways from the city limits, so the night sky was very clear and full of stars. cant recall what i might have wished for, other than perhaps more books lol! now that im older when i do see one my reaction is more often "oooh look at that!" and then after its gone i realize i should have made the wish lol!

Hi there! I have been wishing at shooting stars too. Even now at my age I still wish when I see one. Some have come true but many have not, I still believe that it can help manifest my wishes. I have even took a shot of a shooting star. For so long I have kept it in my cellphone but lost it cause my phone was destroyed. I don't know if there is a truth to wishing at shooting stars but I believe it can help set our minds to achieve what we want in life. Wishing is like positive affirmations and the more you think about it the more it will come true. Ciao!

Hey there! When I was a kid I rarely see a shooting star. As far as I remember I only saw 2-3 shooting stars. I only made one wish. but, it seems to be an impossible dream. lol.

Wishing upon a shooting star is a romantic story , I can't remember if I did that when I was a young girl , but I really hope a shooting star can help me to make my dreams come true.

hahaha, i always do that way back then,, especially that in our place you could see the stars, the sky clearly cause im living here in the province, i always wish for good life and someone that will love me truly, and i thinkas my standing in life shows its as if im achieving my wish already, it just means the shooting star has its power,

hmm, actually, I'm not too sure but I think I didn't yet see a shooting star, whenever, there will be a shooting star, either I forgot to see it or it is raining. So, since I was a girl, I haven't try to make a wish to the shooting star, but perhaps, I may try to make a wish if ever I see one. Though, it was kinda superstitious, I think that there's no harm to try it and it was quite fun to see one and make a wish. The problem is, shooting stars kinda don't want to appear on me. Perhaps, I should patiently wait for the next shooting star that will come.

I rarely see a shooting star. As far as I can remember, I only saw 2 shooting star in my life. But I never missed to wish. The last time I saw a wishing star is when I was observing my partner in driving on how she drives and then I looked up in the sky and VIOLA! I saw one. I hurriedly closed my eyes and say a wish. I am not really expecting for it to be true because our future lies on us. Wishes may come true or not it has reasons why. I forgot what I wished that night!

my 22th birthday was one of the most memorable moments of my life. my constituents and i were on the field for cheer dance practice. they all greeted me on my birthday, and since the sky was so bright, i could see the blue moon and the twinking stars and suddenly a wishing star appeared. i was so happy to see it because i consider it as one of the rarest moments of my life, then i closed my eyes and wished. i forgot my wish that moment but i know it came true. wishing stars always bring out this child in me.
