I know that there are so many revival songs now and they are huge hits to us music lovers.
My current favorite is the one done by Sarah Geronimo..A Very Special Love.
It is of the same movie that she starred and became a huge box office hit here in the Philippines. I am a big, big fan of Sarah and her music and i love her version of this old song.
What about you? What is your favorite revival song and who sang it and do you like it better than the original or you liked the original version best?
and i found a very special love in you its a feeling that is totally new over and over...

I love all the songs revived by Regine Velasquez... especially Bluer than Blue in the R2K album... she has this certain style that makes and old song seem so beautiful when she sings it... so i don't get tire of hearing them over and over again...
I like the songs and the way she sings... but i don't really like Regine as a person...

I believe the original is always the best! I don't know... but no matter how good the singer of the revival song... I'd always stick to the original. I've not heard of the version of Sarah...maybe I will search on that so I could compare. Sarah is a good singer... I know she can sing so well but I have yet to see if her version will really surpass the original in my own taste.

I am not fond of songs revival, although I like listening to some but most of the time I think the one who revives the song did not do justice tot he original one, one of it is Himig ng Pag ibig by Asin in which Yeng Constantino revived, I did not like it. But then there was album by APO where they made a remake on some songs by rock bands and that one really sounded great, it was as if it is the original, oh I like Di ko kayang Tanggapin by Laarni, it gives a new aura on the sing (still baduy but it as good) Pain in my heart by second wind. which was revived by Arnel Pineda before he joined Journey . I still have some in my list but really I don't get it why some artist would revive songs, it is like the talents in composing songs were gone.

yes it is as if the original compositions will not be as salable if a new artist will attempt..it is sad but singers have to thrive harder in order to get noticed...but i like the revivals of jed madela..he has such a wonderful voice..not irritating to the ears...and he gives a beautiful rendition of the old songs.

One of my favorite revivals is Sunshine of your love by cream. It was revived by livin colour in the 90's. And I think it is better than the original. For the OPM, I think I like the Dawn's new "Salamat" version rather than the original. The original was a new wave song and the revival was more noisier. That's why I like it.
