Well, it's October and we are swamped in pink ribbons for breast cancer awareness again. Am I the only one who is tired of the blatant commercialization of this terrible disease. We are so long past the need for breast cancer AWARENESS. We are now in the era of breast cancer ACCOUNTABILITY. I first became aware of breast cancer when I was a teenager. I am now in my sixties and women are still dying from this disease AND we still are not certain of the causes, etc. Just what have they done with all the money that has been donated to this cause? Not much bang for the buck, I say.

Wow thats a powerful statement Bev, you should like write an editorial or something XD and thats a good question.... we might not have found the cause, but we have found a few tricks that can help get rid of it for some people :) still would like more progress though
But heres a question maybe you can answer for me, where does the money go for all the pink ribbons and things people buy? research or promoting more awareness or what?

Well heres another questions for ya, A long time ago, Not nearly as many people got cancer, something changed so that more people get it, What do you think happened? why do people suddenly get cancer more than people in general use to?

I like the yoplay comercials where they say they will donate 10 cents for every pink lid sent in. Whats funny about that comercial is that they were doing the same offer ten years ago, you would think by now it would be at least 12 or 15 cents. It dose seem like the succes rate is far greater now then it used to be but your right a cure still hasn't been found. I may be several years still before they do.
