Before this election I had no interest in politics whatsoever although I followed closely because the future of America does affect the world.
I believe this election campaign though quite entertaining is becoming too much of a fiasco.
I believe what Americans Need is;
1. A leader who won't freakout/spasm in public.
2. A leader who is re-assuring in the face of adversity, a leader who can make decision in crisis as is the case on Wall Street- not just to say, yes it is all going to go away and everything is going to be GREAT because quite frankly that is a lie, it is going to get worse before it gets better and the pockets of tax payers is going to burn to compensate this recession.
3. A leader who does not stoop to the level of name calling and character damaging.
4. A leader who is respected by his party on all levels.
5. A leader who has guts, courage and understands what it truely means to have no dinner some nights and to go hungry so that your children will have the best.
6. A leader who will work with the poor, middle class and upper class.
The McCain campaign keep telling how much experience McCain has and yes we all know that he's a veteran of war which we are greatful for, however McCain has been in the spotlight and the position of power to have make a difference for the American people years ago and even run himself before now, as he often times point out that he has gone up against his party on numereous issues.
Why didn't he stand up for the American people then? For the poor who can not afford health care and jobs being lost, the middle class who can not afford to save and the upper class who wants a tax break because they are wealthy enough to pay taxes but definately want some compensation package.
Why didn't McCain break away from the pack then like the Renegade Maverick that he so claims? BUT instead he endorsed George W. Bush and 90% of his policies. He has the experience but lacks judgement and Americans need someone with judgement now that America is on the brink of a great RECESSION.
Without bias or apology I say that Leader is OBAMA. Make the right choice this election day, vote November 4, 2008.

The change this country truly ne4eds is not being offered by either of the candidates in all actuality. People are expecting a federal government to grant them the lifestyle they feel they deserve. This is not the proper function of federal government. It is to provide the environment in which the lifestyle they wish is achievable and safe to attain.
the change needed is a return to the principals laid out long ago, they worked for centruries and when things went wrong, people eroniously blamed our system and changed it, adding rules, adding federal government and throwing money, and things got worse, so they added more, spent more, things got worse. All this was done without considering that maybe things got messed up in the first place because we got away from those principals. Now here we are, losing our statehood, losing liberties and wealth all in the name of a big government coming in to save the day.
No NEITHER of these 2 candidates are the change needed now. It is a shame that people are still complaining about the same problems, yet they are perfectly happy to elect one of the 2 same solutions again. Wake up America, real change is needed very badly and these two are not real change, just different brands of the same things over and over again.

Xfahctor 1979 thank you for your comment and I do agree with you somewhat because real change does not come from these Candidates but when we as a people can make change internally that will not depend on Government, however the fact still remains that these two Candidates are running and one must be elected come November 4.
Again we as individuals and as a nation need to be able to elect a Government, so that we can make them accountable for other areas that we can not control on our own but because we have a system of order that we must follow.
