Most of you know that I've been working on some crochet projects quite a bits, so I decided to start blogging about my adventures. (That's one of the reasons I haven't been around much on myLot the last few days).
I'll be posting pics of my own projects as well as other featured crochet crafters, coupons and sales at craft stores, tips for fellow crafters, etc.
Please go take a peek at what I've done so far. I hope to be updating it with something every day, so subscribe to the feed if you'd like.
Do you blog about your crafts?

That sounds like a pretty cool blog and I would love to take a look. I have never done anything like that, maybe I should but then I am really unsure about blogging! Plus I do not seem to get a lot of time to do crafts, but yours sounds really interesting.

You can blog about anything you want. It doesn't even have to be about any one particular subject. You can make it general and post something every day, or however often you want, just about what is going on in your life or whatever.
It's a great way to show family/friends to know what you've been up to.

My blog started out to be something a little more cohesive, but has kind of degenerated into a random journal type thing. You can do what ever you want to in your blog. Within reason and of a decent nature of course.

I do blog about my crafts, but to have the discipline to blog every day is beyond me. However I did blog roll your craft blog to my beaddoodlers blog. I really like all the gadgets blogger has. I can blog roll different subjects by category, since my blog is pretty random.

Great. When you get accepted, and that may take a while because your blog has to meet some post or age requirements, be sure to join in on the discussions in the forum. Exchange of blog views is great to boost traffic.

I'm still here, Dian, just not as much. I've been playing a lot at Winster too, and keeping up with this one crochet forum and my blog (and of course the crochet itself).

I don't blog...but I love your partner..I take it you did not crochet him. I'll bet that you have enough hair from him to crochet a pup for him to play with.
I can't wait to see your projects...crocheting and knitting are 2 things I never got the hang of.

Oh, I am sorry, that is so sad. We have 1 pretty old guy who will probably be meeting your Rosie sometime in the future, he is 12 1/2 and one who when we got him was supposed to be lucky if he lived to his 1st birthday...well he is going to be 10 in December.
So we feel lucky to have our guys, but we also know that their time is limited.
We can mail you some hair if you like!

That's my girl, Rosie. Sadly, she went over the rainbow bridge just over a year ago, so no more dog hair in my crochet projects.
I hated it while it happened, but I'd give anything to have her back again.

I'd love to check out your blog, Ldyjarhead - it sounds great! I'll have a look and add it to my favourites. I don't blog about my crafts, but I do blog about the silliness of everyday life. It's fun. I must find time to do it more often ...

I debated on started one blog for everything, but my interests are so varied and I thought I'd get more exposure by being more focused.

Some of them came out ok, I guess, but I printed more patterns and oh boy, last night and this morning were very frustrating. The bits of yarn I was using is now all frayed from ripping out and starting over so many times.
I did finally find a pattern that I was able to do well enough and made two squares. I'll probably post that accomplishment on tomorrow's blog.

Maybe Rosie is trying to get a feel for how it will be when it is finished! Or maybe she is just trying to help you out!

I would spread something out to take a picture and turn around and there she was. I think she liked the feel, and also that it smelled like me. The only thing she ever chewed in her life was my wooden crochet hook.
Sadly, she's no longer with us. She went over the rainbow bridge last year and is buried down there in Oak Hill.

Your blog is lovely. I especially like the fact that you are keeping it simple for those of us who are learning. I have tried to teach myself to crochet several times over the years and I always end up being frustrated because I just cannot maintain the right gauge. My stuff always looks like it was crochet by a committee. Aargh!

LOL.
If you're doing blankets or afghans, gauge doesn't matter as much. What have you tried to make?
Do you have someone showing you, or are you trying to learn on your own? There are some pretty good videos online.

There's nothing that says you have to update every day or a certain time frame, post when you have something to add and don't sweat it.
What is your blog about?

oh i love to try to do crochets but i am busy with cross stitch today. i am making cross stitch design and make it into a throw pillow. i really want to make some crochet as curtains for i like the old fashion touch of that. but there is something in crochets that i cant get i always end up making something crampled.

Curtains would be lovely with thread, but I have a problem working with the smaller, intricate designs. My sister can do that sort of thing, though, and does awesome work.

I really like the hat and the bag. I've never heard of plarn before! You make some beautiful things! You should sell them on ebay or someplace, I bet you could make a nice amount that way.

The grocery bag isn't mine, it was done by a crafter on another forum I'm on. Plarn is a new word to denote 'plastic yarn', since it's made from plastic bags. I really want to make one of those bags, it's the nicest I've seen yet.
I do need to get some things done and up on Etsy. I started a baby blanket this morning and I'm almost half done!

Cool, I'll check it out. I don't blog about my crafts since I don't do any, but I have thought about blogging about our homeschool adventures and where we've been. I though about doing some stuff on AC since I can get paid and get some page views.

I haven't written for AC in forever, and I really need to get back to that. I don't stick with any one thing long, I'm always multitasking, and to write 400 words or better for AC is tough to do in one sitting for me. I'm all over the place.
With blogging, you can pretty much do what you want on whatever subject(s) interest you. Go for it.

You do great work. I am not a crafty person. I wish that I were! I really like your blankets. Where in NC will you be moving back to? I live in Central NC near Ft. Bragg. Keep up the great crafting projects!

Thanks for the compliments, but I'm not nearly as crafty as you might think. I like the simple things - the more complicated stuff really throws me off.
I don't know yet where I'll be going, I'm still trying to decide. I was thinking Goldsboro area to rent an apt short term while I considered elsewhere, maybe Kinston. Shelby seems like a nice town too.
I spent many years in the Jacksonville area (Marines, of course), and a couple of years in Raleigh/Durham.

Do I blog about my crafts? The simple answer is No. The closest I come to it is occassionally posting something here at myLot, or two cross-stitch groups I belong to. And I haven't been doing much of that lately, either. Good luck with your new venture.

I have a blog but to date it is unloved and unused .I admire those who can craft, and crochet is a very old time hobby, and it is a clever and good looking hobby too.I have a large crocheted blanket, which is one of the warmest blankets that I own.We have a craft centre nearby,it offers many types of craft, papier mache, wood carving, oil painting, glass work, knitting, card making,in fact there are some great present ideas there. They have a lot of home made soap, all very exotic looking and great homemade toys too, knitted sheep are one of the very good ones. But I will look forward to seeing your crafting pictures and the very best of luck.

Wow, I love the stuff you've done. I taught myself how to crochet though it's just the simple stuff, nothing fancy. I've made some purses for my nieces and need to start working on them again. I have two more purses to make for the two oldest nieces. hehe Maybe one day I'll learn some of the trickier things.

I'm only adept at the simple back and forth things like afghans and baby blankets and have made a ton of those, but I'm finally going to try to stick it out and make something with granny squares.
I don't do tricky ...
