Like almost one third of voters here in America I get the chance to vote early. In my case this is done with a statewide mail in ballot. As of 2 hours ago I have cast my vote for the 08 election. What then is my (and others who have allready voted) responibility and obligation for the remaining days of the election cycle.
I see it as follows.
1. We should continue to keep posting our concerns about the campaign.
2. We should raise the bar as far as repectability and responsibility. Using reason insted of hate.
3. We should start talking about what should be expected of the winner no matter who it is.
4. Finally for this post. We should start taking the passions raised during this campaign and start focusing them on the many problems we now have to face. Looking for solutions and setting up political and social networks to stat affectin needed solutions.

I'm casting my vote early too even though there isn't anyone in the running
that I can see worthy of the position of president. I fear that no matter which
politician gets in the White House we are in for some big raises in taxes. But I will have done my duty to try to make this a safer place by voting.

I applaud the effort and the sentiment. I also feel that no matter who wins we're going to be on the short, sticky end of the stick. I do hope that we can affect some positive change at least on the local level.
