Live Action Anime Movies....

So, I just found out that a live action Dragon Ball movie will be coming out next year. I am....worried, that it will distroy the reputation of the anime. DB, and DBZ, (I don't really like GT) was one of the first anime series that I watched. You could say that it introduced me to anime (and now I am an otaku!). I think that certain anime/manga can get away with becoming live action (like Death Note and Hana Kimi) but not DB! What do you think? Do you think that a live action version will be able to do the Dragon Ball anime justice?

have you seen some of the previews? its looks pretty good. i'm not a DBZ fan, but having the US do the production of it, the CG should be good. i'm not sure if it will do the movie justice to the loyal fans, but it might. there's also going to be a live action of AKIRA so that i'm going to be excited to see, although the setting is moved from post apocalyptic Tokyo to post apocalyptic NY it shouldn't be that much of a different as long as they cast some asian actors.

I did see a preview on youtube, and it wasn't that great....I think that Akira might make a good live action though. :) There is already a very old live action version of DB...that was made in China I believe. It's not very good....so I'm afraid (especially after watching the preview)that it will go badly. But I'm sure taht there are people who will love it and those who will hate it.

I saw the trailer for Dragonball and it looks like crap. Piccolo isn't even green. They made him look like vampire. And Roshi isn't even pervert in the movie...
I've already gave up on this movie when I saw first photo but I'll see it anyway just for the laugh.
I'm really pissed of because they are doing Akira movie. They'll totally destroy masterpiece. But at least will see Kaneda's bike in action. I hope they won't change design of the bike or something.
Only live action anime movie I'm kinda looking forward to see is Detroit Metal City. It looks the same as anime...

I honestly don't think that this movie will do the series justice at all. I saw the preview and wasn't impressed. It's just too hard to try and pull a live action version off. Definitely not looking forward to it. I'm still going to watch it to see how it turned out but I'm not having high hopes for it. It'll probably be as bad as that Speed Racer live action movie.
