I'm not mad, but you guaranteed it.

Well I can't say he guaranteed it but he sure sounded sure it was the book we wanted. I'm not one to complain about people or services, and well I can't actually say that. I do complain, but I don't like to. Today my fiance checked his email and found that he received an email from Barnes and Nobles saying that our book was in. I called the store, told the man who answered explicitly that I would be coming from a different County, and that I needed to know if it was the book. He sure sounded sure about it. I don't expect a store to know everything, nor do I expect the employees to know everything either. However, I wish the guy would have said "Ma'am, I am sorry but I can't be sure this is the book you want." Or "Ma'am, I can tell you what I see but nothing else." He told me what he saw, I was happy, but Indefinitely they go through the same procedure we do if we were to order it offline. I mean, I don't know that for certain but I can only assume.
So we go there, I am in a daze, it's rainy and well I have thoughts on the mind. I ask my fiance if it's the book, because all I'm thinking is "don't we already have the settlers?" Well correction brain, We had the settlers, that copy actually. I can't say it's the exact one, but let's just say the pictures are the same. So we go there to get what? An ISBN number and the name of the place press... er place. Well we could have gotten that without leaving the comfort of our warm cozy home.
I don't mind though, we needed a nice ride, but well, I wish we didn't have to come back empty handed!

I know you can not say that he guaranteed it,but from what you told me he seemed pretty sure that it would be the book that we wanted, and I know that no one likes to complain, but everyone complains from time to time, and I know I complain a lot myself even though I do not like to either, and yeah I checked my email and found out that the book we had ordered was in,and I agree a store can not know anything, but he knew we would be coming from a different county, and it would have been nice if the guy would have said I can not guarantee it is the one you want, because all I know is what I see,and it seems like they might go through the same procedures that we do when we order a book offline, and yeah it was raining but we went there, and yeah I remember you asked me if it was the book, and I knew when she was bringing it that it was not the right book, and yeah the only thing we left with was a name which we could have gotten out of the book we already have, and an ISBN number that we already had,and it always sucks when you go somewhere, and end up coming back empty handed even though it was nice to get out of the house,I love you.

Wow! It's been a year since we did that and I kind of forgot we even went out there! We still haven't gotten the book but we haven't looked hard enough and who knows, maybe we'll have to get the book cover we don't really want. I know we need to get the book, that and the first book in the series so as to not damage the other older book... I love you!

Yeah it has been a year and I had not forgotten about going up there to take the book back, and we do need to get the other three books in that series, and I do not like it but I guess I am willing to settle with the covers I do not want just so we can get the books since otherwise we might never find the books we want, and I want you to finish reading the series to me,because I want to find out what all happens to the characters in the book,I love you with all of my heart and soul, have a great day, good luck with all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

Hi there Cowgirl. This just sounds like what some governments do... on a larger level - they say something but they aren't speaking the truth. I don't know what that guy was thinking, but it was rude of him to act like that, i mean he could just have said that he isn't sure that he has it and that would have been that.
Well hope you didn't get to upset because of this !

No I didn't get too upset. I know I wasn't too clear in the discussion, but I basically called the store and ordered a book but asked if it would look like what was on the site, I explained to him that I wanted that one, and he still said yes. So when it came, we traveled to another county to find out that they didn't have the one we wanted.
